Is Home Front Transit operating now?

No. Home Front Transit is in pre-operational development; this website describes planned services, not current operations.

Can I book service or check availability?

No. There is no current booking or availability process.

Has a service-launch date been announced?

No service-launch date has been announced. Launch timing remains unspecified.

Where is planned transportation focused?

The planned scope is New York City student transportation and intrastate New York State charter transportation.

Is interstate transportation planned initially?

No. Home Front Transit is not planning interstate operations initially.

What are the four planned service categories?

The four planned categories are:

  • NYC school transportation for public, private, and charter school communities.
  • Special needs and accessible student transportation.
  • Field trips and school activities.
  • Intrastate New York State charter transportation.
Will accessible student transportation be available now?

No. Home Front Transit is planning accessibility-capable student transportation, including wheelchair-accessible planning. This does not claim current vehicles, equipment, personnel, or service.

Does the accessible plan include medical or emergency transportation?

No. The planned scope excludes medical transportation, non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT), emergency service, and clinical care.

Yes. General planning discussions are permitted now at a broad, non-sensitive level, including an organization, general geography, anticipated need, and timeframe.

Does an inquiry or conversation reserve service?

No. There is currently no reservation, quote, bid, proposal, contract, route confirmation, or availability guarantee.

Which planning pathway should an organization use?

Business & Procurement provides administrative and procurement context. Business Inquiry is the planning-stage path for schools, organizations, procurement personnel, and institutional transportation discussions.

What information should not be sent through a public form or ordinary email?

Do not send sensitive data through public forms or ordinary email, including diagnoses, medical records, IEPs, detailed disability information, sensitive student records, Social Security numbers, government IDs, payment information, or other confidential documents.

Is Candidate Interest active, and are there current hiring claims?

No. Candidate Interest is not active, and this site makes no public hiring claims. No current openings, applications, or hiring commitments are offered here.

What is the relationship between Home Front Transit and Disgruntled Outpost LLC?

Home Front Transit is an assumed name of Disgruntled Outpost LLC, the underlying legal entity. It is not a separate LLC.

Who holds the SBA SDVOSB and VOSB certification?

Disgruntled Outpost LLC, which operates Home Front Transit under an assumed name, is certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), effective September 8, 2026.

Does that certification establish transportation authority or approval?

No. That certification does not establish NYSDOT authority, NYCPS/OPT approval, PASSPort approval, a contract award, service availability, or route authority.
